Marks and Spencer

The Marks and Spencer website allows you to link to their different types of social media. The website allows you to buy a large variety of their products online and it allows you to see a wider range than you may see in your local store.

Marks and Spencer uses a large variety of different social media types to increase the awareness of their business. They do this by using Facebook, twitter, YouTube, Instagram, pinterst and Google+. The most popular type of social media that they are more than likely to increase the audience’s awareness is Facebook. This is because Facebook is the largest social networking site out there. Marks and Spencer was founded in 1884 and is one of the quality fashion and outstanding food suppliers. Marks and Spencer was founded by two men Michael Marks who was the chairman of the company and Thomas Spencer who was a partner of the company.
 
 

 

Marks and Spencer uses social media to target a wide audience of different genders and age ranges. By using Facebook it allows people share different things that Marks and Spencer posts. It could be a picture of a recent outfit that they have just received in store or it could be different items that they have just received in their home department.

 

 

Marks and Spencer allows their customers to tag people in their pictures which means that it can reach a wider audience as it will appear on other peoples timelines because on of their friends has been tagged in something therefore it reaches people that may not have thought to go on that particular website.
 
 

Marks and Spencer also use YouTube to raise awareness of their business as they may air some TV adverts and then post them on YouTube so that people can view them whenever they want. However, Marks and Spencer can also post these adverts onto their Facebook page through YouTube therefore reaching a larger audience again.




Marks and Spencer use special offers as linking and participation strategies and share them on their Facebook page so that everyone has the opportunity to benefit from the offer whether it be money off when you spend a certain amount or a percentage off your shop.
 

 

Marks and Spencer also use competitions as linking and participation strategies and post them on their Facebook page for everyone to enter. They may have written the details of the competition on a post but they may also have created a video telling you how to enter.

 


Marks and Spencer also give their audience the chance to leave comments on their page as a linking and participation strategy so that other customers are able to see what others opinions are and if they have had any problem with anything.




 
In the last two weeks the Marks and Spencer Facebook page has thousands of new likes. The exact number of these new likes are shown below.  

 


 


 

Cacoca Heart

 

Cacoca Heart is a small local boutique that is based in Inverclyde. The website allows you to link to the different types of social media that they use. The website is also used to enable you buy a large variety of their clothing range. Cacoca Heart uses a large variety of social media to create awareness of their business. They do this by using Facebook, twitter and Instagram. The most popular type of social media that they are more than likely to increase the audience’s awareness is Facebook. This is because Facebook is the largest social networking site out there. Cacoca Heart is a recently been founded only in the last few years and it has been very successful. It originally started off as an online shop but expanded to now having 2 stores which are both very popular.

 


Cacoca Heart use social media to target a wide audience of different age ranges. By using Facebook it allows people share different things that Cacoca Heart. It could be a picture of a recent outfit that they have just received in store that a celebrity has recently been seen wearing.

 


Cacoca Heart also gives their audience the chance to leave a comment on their different pictures to ask questions and give their opinions on the outfit which enables other customers to see what others opinions are and see if their question has been asked and answered.

 


Cacoca Heart allows their customers to tag people in their pictures which means that it can reach a wider audience as it will appear on other peoples timelines because one of their friends has been tagged in it. This therefore helps Cacoca Heart to reach more people than they originally would have and it may encourage people to go on and look on their website for outfit ideas.

The most common and probably the most popular offer that they have is a statement necklace and earrings for £20.

They also include a picture of the prize and their competitions always prove to be very popular they also write the details of how to enter the competition on a post.


 

Cacoca Heart also uses other companies as linking and participation strategies because they will have teamed up with other organisations to supply the clothes for the customers to be displayed in the shop and on the website.

 

In the last few weeks Cacoca Heart have gained a number of new likes. The number of new likes are shown below. The reason that they may have lost a number of likes is may people find their products too expensive to buy.



 


 
Coca Cola

 

Coca Cola is a multi-national organisation. The website allows you to link to their different types of social media. The website allows you to share a coke with someone whose name cannot be found on a bottle. Coca Cola uses a large variety of different types of social media. They use Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flickr, Instagram and google+. The most popular type of social media that they are more than likely to increase the audience’s awareness is Facebook. Coca Cola was founded in 1886 by John Pemberton.

 


Coca Cola uses social media to target a wide variety of people and encourage them to go out and buy their drink. It also allows people to share any new information that Coca Cola post whether it be about a new drink or something that is happening within in the company.

 


Coca Cola gives their audiences the chance to leave comments on the page about their products. It allows them to leave their own opinion for others to take on board when they are considering buying the product. It also allows you to see how popular the brand really is.

 


Coca Cola gives their audience the tagging option which means that their Facebook likers can tag their friends in something that they find really interesting or it could be even a competition and this then means that Coca Cola will be reaching a wider audience than just those who like their page.

 


Coca Cola uses social media to promote different sporting events such as the rugby. This is because they are sponsoring the rugby world cup so are trying to get people to go and buy their products by advertising at their games and adding videos to their Facebook to encourage people to take up the sport.

 


Coca Cola also use competitions as linking and participation strategies and post them on their Facebook page for everyone to enter. They include how you enter the competition, the closing date and any age restrictions. They also give a picture or video of what the competition is.

 


Coca Cola work with other companies to promote their products as they work with different TV companies to air their adverts on the TV. They could also publish these adverts on their Facebook page if they wanted to. Coca Cola is famous for their Christmas Adverts which is how so many people know of the company and having famous adverts that the viewer’s love will encourage them to go and buy the product. Coca Cola also work with the large supermarkets such as Tesco and Asda to sell their products.

 

In the last few weeks Coca Cola have gained thousands of new likes. These new likes are shown below. Coca Cola may have lost likes from their page if they are posting to much about different things but may also have lost likes for not posting enough.
